Open Compute Project (OCP)


The Open Compute Project Foundation is a rapidly growing community of engineers around the world whose mission is to design and enable the delivery of the most efficient server, storage, and data center hardware designs for scalable computing. Amphenol is a member of the “Community.”

OCP Connectors


IT connector requirements (“DC Busbar Clips”)
  • Support Hot Swap Applications
  • Minimum durability of 100 Cycles
  • Blind mating
Amphenol has identified 2 different types of connectors
  • Connector for 1U Applications
  • Connector for 2U Applications

OCP Busbars


Assembly (Kit) includes:
  • Dual Busbar Sub-assembly (2 busbars and spacers)
  • Protective cover
  • Power attachment protective cover
  • Studs (for mounting the power cables)
Busbar Requirements:
  • 12.2VDC ± 0.4 VDC
  • Recommended Power Density of 5 A/mm² (Desired is 3.5 A/mm²)
  • Support Hot Swap applications
